Meet Michael McEwan, 2018 summer intern working in the Business Solutions and Technology department. Michael recently graduated from Central Michigan University with his degree in Computer Science and was interested in Maner due to the diverse experience of working with a company where he could learn more than just Computer Science.
Michael is originally from Midland, Michigan. He enjoys getting together with friends and golfing when he has the opportunity. He also enjoys watching YouTube and playing computer games. Michael practiced Judo in college and hopes to get back into the practice here in Lansing.

Why did you choose Maner Costerisan to intern with?
I really enjoyed how friendly and kind everyone was and I wanted to be in the Lansing area.

What has been your favorite thing about working at Maner Costerisan?
Getting to know everyone as I learn software development.

What are your duties as an intern?
To apply my current knowledge of software development to Maner Costerisan software and learn more about how it works. Currently, I am building functionality in the ManerLink software as well as developing software for clients.

What has been the most difficult aspect of your internship?
The most difficult aspect of my internship has been the learning curve of the material I have to work with.

What has been the most rewarding part of your internship?
Creating a product that successfully completes the task required.

Who have you gotten a chance to interact with during your internship?
I have gotten a chance to interact with fellow new recruits and employees, as well as a client who is interested in a new product.

What advice or tips would you give to a new intern?
Ask questions, and keep asking them until you understand what you have to do.
