Why did you choose Maner Costerisan to intern with?
It just felt like a good fit, I know that I wanted to do accounting and especially tax and after last year, I felt the desire to find a more stable setting, and so far have been enjoying it.

What has been your favorite thing about working at Maner Costerisan?
The people and the new information that I am learning. I love accounting to a degree that learning about it and doing the work has been enjoyable.

What are your duties as an intern?
I am currently working with PPT returns and some Affordable Housing – Extensions.

What has been the most rewarding part of your internship?
The food, slightly joking. The experience; to be learning so many different things while doing something I enjoy is the best thing right now. Also it helps to reestablish that my last four years of college haven’t been a waste. Again only slightly joking.

What advice or tips would you give to a new intern?
Ask questions and be honest when you don’t understand everything. It is okay to not get it all right the first time and its okay when in training you hear a lot of things that go over your head, because it will make sense when you put the teachings to practice. Write good notes and compare notes to see if you missed anything or if someone knows a shortcut.

Have you had a chance to work with the other interns?
Most of us tax interns are working together, we even schedule a lunch every Friday to hang out. We work independently but if we ever have a question we can holler at each other.
