FAQs

Have more questions about the Second Opinion process? Click below to schedule your complimentary consultation today.

  • WHAT IS A SECOND OPINION?

Maner Wealth Second Opinion is a complimentary consultation and evaluation of your financial plan. It’s your chance to have a fresh perspective on your financial health – ensuring the actions you take today are on track to help you achieve your long-term financial goals.

The meeting allows us to understand how you see your financial future unfolding. We’ll learn about what you’ve been doing, what you’ve been planning for and understand any challenges/questions you may have about your financial wellbeing. Then, we begin to understand and analyze your current portfolio and plan.

The Second Opinion review includes a complete report of our findings, where we discuss and offer suggestions to ensure you get the results you want.

  • DOES THE SECOND OPINION MEETING HAVE TO BE IN PERSON?

No. We have these meetings on your schedule. We can have them remotely or in person. It’s completely up to you. Our office is conveniently located off Grand River Ave. in Lansing.

  • HOW LONG DOES THE MEETING TAKE?

We typically schedule between an hour to an hour and a half. This gives us plenty of time to get to know one another, discuss your goals and have our team walk you through a series of questions proven to provide us with the deep insights into what matters most to you.

  • DO I NEED TO PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION?

Yes. Prior to the meeting, our team will send along a list of items we suggest you bring with you to the session. These documents include financial statements, paycheck stubs, tax documentation and more.

  • WHAT TYPE OF QUESTIONS ARE ASKED DURING THE SECOND OPINION CONSULTATION?

When we meet, our experts will ask you a series of questions about your goals so that we can clearly understand your vision, values and priorities. Things like, “What’s important about money to you?” “What would you like to achieve with your money?” Even, “How involved do you like to be in managing your finances?” Then, we’ll discuss what challenges you may be facing in achieving them and whether or not you feel like you have clarity on the steps required to get to where you want to be.

  • SHOULD MY PARTNER AND I BOTH TAKE PART IN THE SECOND OPINION CONSULTATION?

Yes. We suggest both members of a couple take part in the Second Opinion consultation. We often learn that one member may have a different opinion or goal that may not always align with the other. Hearing from both parties leads to a more open conversation about their differences and allows us to help with alignment. Together, we’ll develop a single, holistic financial plan that works for all family members.
