Jessica Cheeseman, Manager
Jessica is a manager in Maner Costerisan’s Accounting department. She started with Maner as an intern in January 2016 and was hired full-time shortly after. In 2023, Jessica was promoted to a manager role. As part of her responsibilities, Jessica provides outsourced controllership services for a variety of clients. Her daily tasks include month-end journal entries, bank reconciliations, financial statements, tax and audit preparation and she supports Sage Intacct software implementations. In addition, she is a member of the Employee Engagement Committee.
Prior to joining Maner, Jessica worked in the Asset Management department at Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) and at a factory building car parts. In high school, she took an accounting class and caught on very quickly. She liked the challenge and problem-solving involved in the subject. The opportunity to grow and take on new challenges with a supportive firm is what keeps her Maner.
Jessica graduated from Olivet College with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Davenport University with a Master of Accounting. She resides in Wyoming, Michigan, with her Australian shepherd, Kif. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her dog, camping, and art, specifically stained glass.
Some of the personal traits that I think drive my success are my resilience and how candid I am. I am not afraid to admit when I don't know something, but I will do whatever I can to find a solution to a problem.
