Abby Daugherty, CPA, Senior Manager
Abby is a senior manager in Maner’s Accounting and Outsourced Solutions department, where she provides tailored outsourced services that solve problems and make her clients’ lives easier.
After beginning her career at Maner in 2013, Abby left the firm to work for a large national insurance company. In this role, she gained four years of experience on the client side, learning first-hand their challenges, concerns and problems. Her time outside of public accounting helped to strengthen her skills and provided her with a unique ability to relate to and support her clients.
Abby returned to Maner because of the flexible, family-oriented culture and the firm’s ongoing commitment to community involvement and outreach (two things that are very important to her personally). A winner recipient of the MICPA Emerging Leaders award in 2017, Abby’s goal is to share her experience and knowledge with her clients to help them be successful.
Passionate about finding realistic and workable solutions that answer a client’s problems, Abby enjoys working with numbers and supporting a variety of clients. Abby works mainly with nonprofits and is passionate about helping organizations that have a purpose and mission to better the world around them.
A graduate of Michigan State University with a Master of Science in Accounting, Abby and her husband, Kyle, and two young kids, Charlotte and Jameson, reside in Okemos, Michigan. A dedicated and active mom, Abby loves to read and spend time helping her children grow into awesome human beings.
I genuinely love engaging with people on a level beyond acquaintances. Maintaining close relationships and having real interactions with people regularly have helped me grow in my career.
