Joel W. Korson, CPA, CCIFP, Principal
Joel is a principal with Maner Costerisan. He started at the firm as a tax intern in 2013 before moving into a full-time role in the Audit department in 2014.
In his role as a principal, Joel provides tax, audit, and consulting services to the firm’s small and midsize business and governmental entity clients. Within these areas, he specializes in construction, manufacturing, and education. In 2021, he earned the Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP) designation, joining an exclusive group of fewer than 2,000 professionals nationwide to receive the coveted industry designation.
Joel’s enthusiasm for problem-solving and helping clients with their business problems makes him a tremendous asset to Maner. In addition to his commitment to supporting clients and continuing his own professional growth and development, Joel is passionate about developing associates within the firm.
Joel graduated with high honors from Michigan State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and a Master of Science in Accounting. He lives in Haslett, Michigan, and is an active uncle to seven nieces and nephews. He also has a golden retriever named Ruffles. In his downtime, Joel enjoys hunting, hiking, running and woodworking.
