Lauren Kurtz, CPA, Senior Manager

Lauren joined Maner Costerisan as a senior manager in the Tax department, as part of the Baker Holtz merger. She has nine years of experience with Baker Holtz, where she began her career as an intern in 2016 before transitioning to a full-time role in 2017. She works in tax services, supporting small and midsize businesses and their owners with compliance, planning, and strategic tax solutions. In addition to client work, she has played a key role in intern recruitment and development, helping build and sustain strong talent pipelines.

Throughout her career, Lauren has valued the variety that public accounting offers and the opportunity to work with clients across industries. She particularly enjoys tax strategy and partnering with clients as their businesses grow. One of her most meaningful professional accomplishments has been mentoring associates, and watching interns she supported develop into managers has been especially rewarding for her. She is excited to immerse herself in Maner’s culture and leverage the firm’s expanded resources to continue delivering strong client service.

Lauren earned a degree in Professional Accountancy from Aquinas College. She lives in Rockford, Michigan, with her husband, Matt, and their daughter, Raegan, with another child joining the family in May. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, staying active, and following the Detroit Lions and University of Michigan sports.

The accomplishment that I am most proud of is watching the growth of associates that I have helped mentor. Watching them start as interns and develop into managers has been incredibly rewarding.
