Melissa Seguin, CPA, Principal

Melissa brings 20 years of experience from Baker Holtz to Maner Costerisan, where she is a principal in the Tax department. Melissa works closely with small and midsize businesses and their owners to develop practical tax strategies that enable them to focus on running and growing their businesses. She also specializes in estate and trust planning, partnering with families and individuals to create thoughtful, long-term solutions aligned with their personal and financial goals. Her approach is rooted in understanding each client’s situation and delivering strategies that support sustainable success.

Throughout her career, Melissa has been drawn to public accounting for the broad exposure it provides to all aspects of business operations. She is passionate about working directly with clients, solving complex problems, and helping others succeed. A natural people-person, she is motivated by building strong relationships and delivering clear, effective guidance. She is excited to be part of the Maner Costerisan team and looks forward to continuing to provide high-quality service and meaningful value to clients.

Melissa earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance and a Master of Science in Accounting from Grand Valley State University. Originally from Alpena, Michigan, she now resides in Grandville, Michigan, with her energetic and lovable dog, Baker. Outside of work, she enjoys golfing and making the most of Michigan’s spring, summer, and fall seasons.
