Matt Spinner, CPA, Manager

Matt joined Maner Costerisan in 2022 and is a manager in the Audit department. He works primarily with the firm’s nonprofit clients, contributing to a wide array of audit and assurance engagements that cover both financial and compliance reporting. 

Matt has 13 years of professional experience, including a diverse background spanning private industry and public service. Before joining Maner, he contributed to trail maintenance and construction projects in Maine. He also progressed through several roles in the private construction and manufacturing industry, ranging from hands-on labor to project coordination, accounting, human resources, and compliance. 

Matt holds a Master of Science in Accounting from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in History from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He resides in Williamston, Michigan, with his wife, Maureen, and daughter Melody. Outside of work, Matt enjoys movies, hiking, cooking, documentaries, and exploring naval history. 

I have always had a ‘give back’ mindset - I’ve seen the impacts of nonprofits in the community that I grew up in - which saw severe economic distress from manufacture outsourcing. Being of service to those who serve the community in a wide variety of roles gives me great satisfaction.
