Maner Costerisan Named One of the Nation’s Best Firms for Young Accountants
Accounting Today has named Maner Costerisan one of the 2025 Best Firms for Young Accountants, ranking the firm No. 18 nationwide and the only Michigan-based firm recognized this year.
The designation, developed with Best Companies Group, is based on confidential surveys of accountants under age 30. Respondents evaluate key areas such as culture, career development, leadership, and engagement.
The recognition comes at a pivotal time for the profession, as fewer students are entering accounting programs nationally and firms compete to attract and retain emerging talent.
“We’re honored to be named a Best Firm for Young Accountants because it reflects the voices of our early-career professionals,” said Trey Williams, CPA, principal at Maner Costerisan. “Young accountants typically want meaningful work, balance, mentorship and the ability to contribute to something larger than themselves. At Maner, they have real opportunity to grow, lead and make an impact.”
A young team member echoed the importance of mission-driven work:
“Maner Costerisan supports me as a whole person,” said Tori Waller, a recently-promoted manager in the Accounting department. “I’m trusted with meaningful responsibilities, supported in maintaining a healthy work-life balance, and encouraged to give back through the firm’s Maner Cares initiative. It makes my work feel purposeful.”
In addition to this latest award, Maner has been recognized repeatedly for its workplace culture. The firm has appeared on Accounting Today’s Best Firms to Work For list for 10 consecutive years. It also recently ranked No. 2 in the medium-sized employer category of Crain’s Detroit Business Best Places to Work in Southeast Michigan for 2025.
