DEPARTMENT: Wealth Management

Michael Nordmann, CFP®, Principal, Director, Chief Wealth Officer

Michael joined Maner Costerisan in 2020 as a principal and the firm’s first Chief Wealth Officer. A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Michael leads the Maner’s growing wealth management division, named to Accounting Today’s national list of Top 150 Firms by AUM in 2023 – less than three years after launching.

Michael serves as a personal CFO for business owners and high-net-worth individuals, developing innovative, highly personalized, and fully integrated financial plans that help his clients achieve their unique life goals. Driven by a passion to make a difference, he made a name for himself in the financial management industry during his time at Morrison, Nordmann & Associates.

Approachable, friendly, and not afraid to ask tough questions, clients value Michael’s honest and open communication style. He focuses on getting to know his clients as people. He listens to and understands his clients’ mindsets, backgrounds, family situations and where they want to be in life. He uses those very personal insights to craft individual financial plans that meet their objectives. He also leans into his deep relationships across Maner Costerisan to ensure those customized strategies represent far more than just investments.

Michael has been honored as a Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce 10 Over the Next Ten recipient and the Rotary Don Bunka Outstanding Service Award winner.

Michael graduated from Spring Arbor University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance. He lives with his wife, Kate, three children, and a black lab. In his free time, Michael enjoys Saturday morning walks through the farmer’s market and relaxing time spent near a body of water. He also enjoys all things sports, specifically basketball, golf and volleyball.

My ultimate goal in life is to leave a positive impact in everything I do, through the lens of “what does love require of me?”. Because we dedicate so much of our time to our jobs, it is a place we can also have immense ripple effects through our actions. I want to build something which literally changes people's lives, for generations to come.
